Homemade Cheesecake
Baked in-house, the case's best seller in every review
MALÁ STRANA · PRAGUE
A hidden-gem café on the way up to Prague Castle — homemade cakes in the glass case, coffee in blue stoneware mugs, and time that moves a little slower.
Today in the case — cheesecake · Míša cake · chocolate cake · carrot cake · tvarohový · apple pie
01 / THE CASE
There is no paper menu — the case is the menu. A few of the regulars, written the way the café writes them: on little cards, by hand.

Seasonal specials appear on Instagram first — this autumn: chilli chocolate and the 'hellish' hot chocolate.
02 / OUR CORNER
Lžička — 'little spoon' — hides on Tržiště, a small street in Malá Strana, on the walk up to Prague Castle. Travellers keep finding it the same way: the Honest Guide sent them, or a 4.8-star map pin did.
Inside it is all vaulted ceilings and warm wood: an old piano in the corner, chess boards on the tables, sofas you sink into — and a row of giant spoons on the wall above the counter, keeping an eye on the cake case.
Dogs are welcome, and not as an afterthought — there are treats for them, too. Find a corner, order something with whipped cream, and stay longer than you planned.
